Peer Academic Advisors in Residence (PAiR)

Peer Academic Advisors in Residence (PAIR) are students who work in the Office of Academic Advising, as well as within their assigned residence hall. Each PAIR receives specific training to assist students in a variety of areas including:

  • Exploring major and career options
  • Declaring or changing a major
  • Understanding the Liberal Arts Core
  • Scheduling
  • Classes
  • Study skills and strategies
  • Resources around campus

Don't miss an opportunity to meet our current 2017-18 PAiRs!

Desk Assistants

The Office of Academic Advising employs four to six desk assistants each academic year.  These students serve as the face of our office to answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments for students with our advisors, and other office style duties.

The Office of Academic Advising does not currently have any available positions.  Openings will be posted on the Online Job Board through Career Services.

Undergraduate Student Internships

The Office of Academic Advising is able to assist students who are interested in pursuing internships in student development, academic advising, and student affairs.

Students should contact Dave Marchesani if they are interested.

Natalie, 2016-17 Bender PAiR

I was a part of the ELLC for two years, and it was a great environment for me. The ELLC allowed me to explore my options with majors, helped me to create and become a part of the Bender Hall community, and connected me to like-minded students in a fun way.
