Our Peer Educators

Peer to peer education is an important component of the UNI experience.  In the Office of Academic Advising, we have Peer Advisors and Success Coaches available to help you be successful.  These students are trained to help with a variety of academic questions and concerns.

Peer Advisors

Peer Advisors can help you:

  • Explore majors, minors, and / or career
  • Understand general education requirements
  • Connect to campus resources
  • Navigat the registration system in Student Center
  • Read Advisement Report

Success Coaches

Success Coaches work with students who are on Academic Alert, Probation, Continuation of Probation, or are readmitted after suspension.  They will also work with students who self-identify as needing academic assistance and through referrals from faculty and staff.  If you want to work with a Success Coach or want to refer a student to success coaching, please complete the Referral Form.

Success Coaches help with:

  • Understanding the University's Academic Standing Policy
  • Understanding how a student moves to or maintains good academic standing
  • Identifying barriers that are preventing the student from being academically successful
  • Developing a plan to help a student move to or maintain good academic standing
  • Connect to resources, tools and people aligned with the student's plan for success
