Undergraduate Student Employment & Experiences
- Peer Advisors
Peer Advisors have been a UNI student for a minimum of 1 year.
Students who are successful in these positions have:
- Excellent communication skills
- A commitment to student success
- Enjoy helping others explore options
- Are comfortable discussing academic challenges and barriers to academic success
- Are comfortable modeling behaviors of a successful student
All students in peer education positions complete the National Peer Educator Certification.

- Undergraduate Student Internships
The Office of Academic Advising can assist students who are interested in pursuing internships in student development, academic advising and student affairs.
Please contact Kim Bock if you are interested. The Office of Academic Advising is currently not accepting interns in this current semester.
Graduate Student Employment & Experiences
- Graduate Assistant for Academic Advising
Position status: The Office of Academic Advising is not hiring for this position at this time.
Qualifications:
- Must be a full-time, degree-seeking student in a UNI graduate program.
- Postsecondary Education / Student Affairs graduate program is preferred.
- Maintain a UNI cumulative graduate GPA of at least 3.00. A newly admitted graduate student must have at least a 3.0 GPA for undergraduate or previous graduate work of at least 8 graded credit hours.
