Exploring career options is just as important as choosing the right major. Some students pick a major to reach a specific career, while others choose a major first and then discover where it can lead.
The Office of Academic Advising offers a number of different resources and tools to help you explore your interests and learn about careers.

Start or continue your exploration through the UNI FOCUS 2 CAREER login page.
- I need to set up a FOCUS 2 Career account.
How to Get Started
Step 1: Request Your Free Access Code
Email the Office of Academic Advising (academic-advising@uni.edu) or Career Services (careerservices@uni.edu) using your UNI email address. Use the subject line: FOCUS 2 Access Code Request
Step 2: Register on FOCUS 2
Once you receive your access code:
- Visit our FOCUS 2 website
- Click “Create an Account”
- New users: Fill out the form and click Continue
Are you a returning user? Log in with your username and password on our FOCUS 2 website.
