It can also provide you with insight into the types of jobs that fit not only with your interests, but also with you individual preferences. For example, knowing your personality type can help:

  • aid in relationship building by understanding who you might work well with 

What is the MBTI?

The MBTI (also known as the Myers-Briggs) is a personality assessment that provides you with a four-letter personality type. The four scales of preference are:

  • Extroversion (E) or Introversion (I)
  • Sensing (S) or Intuition (N)
  • Thinking (T) or Feeling (F)
  • Judgement (J) or Perception (P)

How do I figure out my MBTI Personality Type?

Students can take a free version of the assessment to get their personality type, fill out worksheet, and then schedule an appointment with an academic advisor to review their results and discuss how this relates to their major or potential major.
